Maintaining this site (initially as Dual Monitor Babes) over the years has not been a cheap undertaking. Although I have had ads on the site at varying times, the ads have never really covered the cost of hosting and domain registration (and remember, I have to renew 2 different domains now to not lose my web presence).

In addition to the cost, a site such as this one takes a lot of time. I spend countless hours scouring the internet for high resolution images. Then, usually I’ve got to apply a few photo filters to the images. Finally, I crop and re-size the images to satisfy the largest number of monitor configurations I can. That whole process can takes at least 2 hours, usually more, depending on the image (and in some cases, it’s more than 1 image).

Any donation is accepted, whether it’s $1 or $100. Otherwise I’ll be forced to put ads back on the site, or worse start charging money via a ‘membership’ program for the dual monitor wallpapers.

Due to an error on my part I accidently deleted most of the old Dual Monitor Babes wallpapers. Anyone out there have them saved? Please reply to this post.

Having just put up the Rosasmund Pike wallpaper, I feel this is a great time to point out something different about this site than others. While each wallpaper has a great 500px wide preview, don’t be fooled by it.

The classic wallpaper site simply has a stretched and re-sized image for every resolution. Here at Monitor Models, that is not the case. Check out the recently posted Rosamund Pike Post and the Jessica Alba post for some great examples. Although the images are similar, they’re not the same. I think this is very important, as many of us have more than 1 monitor or device, and having something different on each one makes more sense.
